Love is something that can be easily misunderstood and misrepresented. When we take a step back, we can see that love does exist all around us. Love is made up of little things all around you. We can see love even in simple things like books, a stranger lending a helping hand, random conversations, etc. We all exist because of love, and so does everything else. Love is the root of everything. When I was younger, I took for granted the love I had in my life. I now realize all the love I’m given daily.  I feel loved most in my relationships. Love between family and friends is so important because it will always be there, even when it feels like it isn’t. Love between partners is such a beautiful thing. I thought of this concept while doing my self-portrait. Connecting my concept with self-love, I realize that the people in my life help with my self-love. Having people around me who push me to be the best version of myself. I approached this theme by portraying people in my life, doing things that might be overlooked, but are where I feel the most loved.

With Love, Always
